On December 10, 2024, the YALI Somalia Alumni Chapter proudly showcased strong and strategic leadership at the City Hall Conference Center, where over 100 participants gathered for an event hosted by the #Minbar Initiative. Our alumni played a significant role as key contributors during an insightful session led by U.S. Ambassador Richard H. Riley. The Ambassador shared reflections on the historic U.S.-Somalia relationship, drawing from his extensive 35+ years of diplomatic excellence.

The YALI RLC EA Alumni Chapter of Somalia extends its deepest appreciation to the U.S. Embassy officials, particularly Christy Watkins, for her continued collaboration and for inviting us to be part of such an impactful event. The Embassy’s unwavering support and consistent inclusion of YALI chapter alumni in its civic engagements highlight our shared commitment to empowering Somali youth to become changemakers and peacebuilders.
