YALI Somalia Chapter leaders, along with some of alumni visited in Nairobi, Kenya, and they had time to attended a special dinner meeting at the YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa (YALI RLC EA) to honor the participants of Cohort 59. These young leaders will be embarking on a month-long leadership training program at the YALI Center, located at Kenyatta University.
During the event, the YALI Somalia chapter heads had the invaluable opportunity to connect with the young Somali participants of Cohort 59. They shared insightful tips and advice to help them make the most of their time at YALI, offering guidance on how to maximize their learning experience and effectively apply their skills in leadership, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement.
In addition to providing mentorship, our chapter leaders took the opportunity to highlight the impactful work being done by YALI Somalia in serving the Somali community. They shared inspiring stories of youth-led initiatives, ongoing projects, and how alumni have been instrumental in driving positive change across various sectors in Somalia.
This event reflects our unwavering commitment to supporting and empowering Somali youth to excel in leadership and contribute meaningfully to their communities. We are proud of our Cohort 59 participants and look forward to seeing them grow as future changemakers.
