The YALI Somalia Chapter, in collaboration with HATRiC Institute, has successfully implemented the Strategic Youth Leadership Training Program, equipping 50 young Somali leaders with essential leadership skills to drive positive change in their communities.

This comprehensive program was designed to empower youth with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to take on leadership roles and contribute effectively to Somalia’s development and peacebuilding efforts. Through a series of interactive workshops, mentorship sessions, and practical exercises, participants were exposed to key leadership concepts and strategies tailored to Somalia’s unique socio-economic and political landscape.

Objectives of the Program:

  1. Develop Leadership Skills: Enhance the leadership capabilities of Somali youth by providing them with the tools to lead and inspire change in their communities.
  2. Promote Youth Engagement: Encourage active participation in governance, social development, and peace initiatives.
  3. Foster Innovation and Collaboration: Equip young leaders with the skills to collaborate effectively and develop innovative solutions to local challenges.
  4. Strengthen Decision-Making Abilities: Provide training on strategic planning, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.

Program Highlights and Outcomes:
